
Middle School
6TH - 8TH GRADE
Students are helped to prepare for entrance into their high schools of choice through a rigorous but scaffolded academic program.
Our Middle School academic program includes the core subjects of English and Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Religion along with weekly instruction in Art, Music, Physical Education and Spanish.

ELA - increasingly focuses on exposure to, and study of, various forms of literature, comprehension skills and written expression.

Mathematics - moves students through a strong foundation in number sense including ratios and percentages, through to geometric thinking, and algebraic expressions and equations.

Sciences - Students work in dynamic labs and classrooms to learn about life, earth, and physical sciences through hands-on experiments and guided instruction.

Social studies - instruction includes regional and global geography, systems, and cultures, and American civics and history with an emphasis on connecting the past to the present and future through a critical analysis of source materials.

STEM program - middle school students explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Dynamic projects may include coding, 3D printing, building and programming Hexapod robots, and designing and flying drones. Each activity is designed to build critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills while connecting classroom learning to real-world applications.
After graduating from CAB, 100% of our students graduate from high school. - which is significantly higher than that of local area schools
