We are pleased to honor Barbara and Brad Evans at our 9th Annual Golf Classic at the Country Club of Fairfield on Monday, May 17. Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m., and the event is capped off with a beachside cocktail reception at 4:30 p.m. The event is being underwritten and all proceeds will go toward scholarship. The Academy is tasked with raising more than $2 million each year for the 85% of its students who qualify for need-based financial aid. The Academy strives to make a faith-based education affordable to all who desire one and is grateful to the many new and longtime generous donors who believe in CAB’s mission and make this possible.
The Evans have been stalwart supporters of the Catholic Academy of Bridgeport for many years, impacting countless lives along the way. Holding worldwide leadership positions at Morgan Stanley for nearly 50 years, Brad joined our Board in 2009 and has been Board Chair since 2015. He championed the rebranding of our Academy as one school on four campuses, helped design our strategic plan, co-founded our Annual Golf Classic, and has been instrumental in numerous other key initiatives. Brad’s other Board memberships include the Overseers of Columbia Business School, Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, Horizons at Sacred Heart University, and Foundations in Education. Barbara has spent a lifetime working on behalf of children, and she currently sits on the Board of the Partnership for Inner-City Education; her former Board memberships include the Collegiate School, the Southport School, and Mercy Learning Center. The Evans have a deep love for and commitment to the Catholic Academy of Bridgeport on every level and we are delighted to be honoring them.
